Indigo sees volatile session as its passenger load factor comes flat at 60.2% in July

Notably, Indigo continues to hold leadership in terms of market share in the country's aviation industry.

Interglobe Aviation (Indigo) was trading in a volatile session on Friday after the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) released air traffic data for July 2020. Indigo witnessed a mixed performance during this month.

In July 2020, Indigo's passenger load factor (PLF) was somewhat flat at 60.2% compared to 60.7% in the previous month. In May 2020, PLF was at 52.6% of the airline.

On the contrary, Indigo has continued to register an increase in market share. Indigo's share stands at 60.4% in July vs. 52.8% in June and 50.6% in May this year.

Notably, Indigo continues to hold leadership in terms of market share in the country's aviation industry.

In early deals, Indigo stock saw an upside over 4% with an intraday high of Rs1210 per piece on Sensex. The stock opened at Rs1172.20 per piece higher from the previous closing of Rs1161.50 per piece.

However, the Indigo stock gave away early gains and even touched an intraday low of Rs1124.65 per piece resulting in over 3% drop.

At around 1.40 PM, Indigo stock was trading at Rs1146.45 per piece down 1.30%.
