Welspun Energy Ltd. (WEL) has entered into a unique partnership with Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) for regular exchange of knowledge & skills development in renewable energy industry. Both institutes will jointly develop and organize workshops, seminars and conferences for knowledge sharing. Internships and placements will also be offered by Indiaâ€™s leading renewable energy generator, for helping students develop practical knowhow about this upcoming industry. WEL has committed to set up a corpus for offering scholarships to five outstanding students.
WEL and NMIMS jointly signed and announced the partnership during the convocation ceremony organized in Mumbai.
Welspun Energy has been stressing on developing skills that are much needed by our industries. This collaboration is going to enable a steady exchange of knowledge, research and skills development to contribute to the causes and visions of the institution and the company.
Students will experience industrial visits to Welspun Energyâ€™s solar and wind power plants across the country. Senior executives at Welspun Energy will engage with students of NMIMS through fixed-term visiting assignments by lecturing on the nuances of this booming sector.

This is Welspun Energyâ€™s second engagement with a leading education institution this year. WEL has established a lab at the Gujarat Energy Research & Management Institute (GERMI) and its collaboration with Pundit Deendayal Petroleum University will soon be mentoring students in solar power projects.
Over 218036mn tons of carbon emissions are annually mitigated through Welspun Energyâ€™s 131 MW commissioned renewable capacity. WEL will be commissioning Asiaâ€™s biggest 150 MW solar project in Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh this year and an aggregate 200 MW capacity is presently under development.
