JSW Energy's arm enters into power purchase agreement with Solar Energy for 540 MW of Blended Wind capacity

This is the single largest PPA for the wind/blended wind category in the Industry, and marks the foray of the Company into the Wind / blended wind energy generation segment.

JSW Energy announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary JSW Future Energy has entered into a power purchase agreement with Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) for the Contracted Capacity of 540 MW out of the total awarded capacity of 810 MW.

JSW Energy said that this is the single largest PPA for the wind/blended wind category in the Industry, and marks the foray of the Company into the Wind / blended wind energy generation segment.

Last year, in September,  JSW Future Energy received a Letter of Awards for a total Blended Wind capacity of 810 MW from Solar Energy Corporation in respect of the Tariff based Competitive Bid invited by SECI for setting up of 2500 MW ISTS-connected Blended Wind Power Projects (Tranche - IX).

At around 1.22 pm, JSW Energy was trading at Rs109.70  per piece down by 0.6% on Sensex.
