Sintex Industries stock dips 2% on expectations of Rs115cr loss from Cyclone Tauktae impact on Lunsapur plant

Sintex said that the Company has completed major restoration work (related to the operation of the Plant), upon supply of electricity by the Govt. of Gujarat.

Sintex Industries stock was under pressure on Monday after the company announced the quantum of damages caused by Cyclone Tauktae at its Plant at Lunsapur, Gujarat.

At around 11.24 am, Sintex was trading at Rs3.83 per piece down 2.05% on Sensex.

Sintex on Sunday said that the expected quantum of loss is approximately Rs115cr due to damage caused by the Cyclone.

Further, Sintex said that the Company has completed major restoration work (related to the operation of the Plant), upon supply of electricity by the Govt. of Gujarat.

Also, the Company has achieved 90% capacity utilization.

Sintex said that the Company shall further update to the Stock Exchange from to time.
