Dabang Delhi played yet another stunning game on Saturday night to wipe out any doubts in the hearts of their fans about their intention of winning the Pro Kabaddi League 2014. In an opulent show of refined kabaddi skills, Dabang Delhi put up a tough fight to hold the Patna Pirates in a 30-30 draw at the Patliputra Stadium, Patna.

Dabang Delhi gave the Patna Pirates a run for their money on their own home ground. Despite riotous cheering from the audience for opponents Patna Pirates, Dabang Delhi’s star raider Surjeet Narwal won hearts as well as the Best Raider award for the match. Expectations rode high on the shoulders of Kashiling Adake, Dabang Delhi’s other star raider, who did not fail to impress once more.

Patna Pirates Captain Rakesh Kumar and star raider Mandeep Kumar made some commendable raids, but were ambushed by a formidable defence beyond the centerline. The introduction of all-rounders into the team has significantly strengthened Dabang Delhi’s game. Holding the Patna Pirates to a draw was by no means an easy task, but it was achieved with considerable grace by Dabang Delhi.

Dabang Delhi is bracing for their next match against the Bengaluru Bulls on 14th August in the Boxing Arena of the Balewadi Sports Complex in Pune. Dabang Delhi owner Ms Radha Kapoor has complete faith in Coach Arjun Singh and the team. “I am just waiting to see the next match. The boys are in top form right now. All we need to do is continue the same way and we will surely have a brilliant game,” she said.
