Shares of Ashok Leyland
were trading 1% down on Thursday after the company decided to close Pantnagar plant for 6 days to adjust production.
"As part of the Company's strategy to align with the production and sales requirements, we would like to bring to your kind attention that the Company's plant situated at Pantnagar will remain closed from June 24, 2019 to June 29, 2019 (both days inclusive),” the company said in a press note released after markets hours to the exchanges on Wednesday.
The company does not expect any material impact on the same, Ashok Leyland added in a press note.
Ashok Leyland Ltd is currently trading at Rs82, down by Rs0.85 or 1.03%, from its previous close of Rs82.85 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs81 and has touched a high and low of Rs82.25 and Rs80.30, respectively. So far 51,83,144 (NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs24,320.84cr.
