Asian markets close mixed

Japanese Nikkei, Strait Times and SET Composite closed lower on Friday.

Asian markets finished mixed on Friday after opening higher following the revival of hopes for US stimulus.

Hang Seng, Japanese Nikkei, Strait Times and SET Composite closed lower, while Taiwan Weighted, Korean Kospi, Jakarta Composite and Shanghai Composite finished higher. Australian market also closed higher.

Meanwhile, US stocks ended at 5-week highs as Nasdaq insight of all-time highs with Dow Jones also seeing over 130 points gains.

Bond yields rise 4th day running to close @ 0.79% as markets in risk-on mode.

Indian stock market surge after RBI announced to maintain a status quo for the fourth bi-monthly monetary policy.  BSE Sensex is currently trading at 40,490.77, up 308.10 points or 0.77% and Nifty50 at 11,909.10, up 74.50 points or 0.63%.
