Asian Markets close mixed; Chinese stocks shrugs off Coronavirus uncertainty

SGX Nifty traded 1.32% lower, Japanese Nekkei 225 ended 0.29% lower and Hong Kong's Hang Seng 0.32% lower.

Stocks markets in Asia have take a horrible beating this year and lost as much $6.2trillion.
Asian Markets witnessed another day of volatile trade. The markets traded mixed on Wednesday, following rising coronavirus cases across the US and Europe and growing uncertainty before the US elections. Earlier, Asian markets opened flat after the US markets closed in the red.

Chinese stocks are higher. Around 12.58 pm, Chinese mainland markets, Set Composite and Shanghai Composite closed higher 0.66% and 0.46% respectively. Korean Kospi also ended at 0.62% higher.

SGX Nifty traded 1.32% lower, Japanese Nikkei 225 ended 0.29% lower and Hong Kong's Hang Seng 0.32% lower.

Brent Crude oil is trading 40.27 down 0.93 or 2.26%

Meanwhile, domestic indices have slumped well below 1%. Around 1 pm BSE Sensex is trading at 40,011.80 down 510.30 or 1.26% and Nifty50 at 11,750.20 down 139.20 or 1.17%.
