Axis Bank gains 2% post Q4FY19 results

The bank’s NII was up by 20.6% yoy to Rs5,606cr against Rs4,730cr.

Shares of Axis Bank gained 2% after the bank’s earnings for Q4FY19 came in line with investors’ expectation.

The bank’s NII was up by 20.6% yoy to Rs5,606cr against Rs4,730cr. Net profit for the quarter came at Rs1,505cr and against loss of Rs2,188.7cr yoy. Its GNPA for Q4FY19 stood at 5.26% against 5.75% qoq, decreased by 49bps. NNPA for the quarter came at 2.06% against 2.36% qoq, which has decreased by 30bps.
Axis Bank Ltd's share price is currently at Rs754.65, up by Rs13.8 or 1.86%, from its previous close of Rs740.85 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs761.30 and has touched a high and low of Rs765 and Rs746.55, respectively. So far, 1,44,03,031 (NSE+BSE) shares have been traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs1,90,572.18cr.
