Bajaj Auto reports ~19% decline in November sales; stock slips ~1.5%

Bajaj Auto Limited announced that its sales for the month of November declined 19% to 3,06,552 units in November 2022, as against 3,79,276 units in the previous corresponding month.

Company’s total sales in the domestic market reported at 1,52,716 units, registering a decline of 4% against 1,58,775 units in November 2021.

The auto maker’s exports logged a decline of 30% in November 2022 at 1,53,836 units against 2,20,521 units in the same month previous year.

Bajaj Auto said its YTD sales in the domestic market stood at 14,42,844 units, up by 14% against 12,66,673 units in the previous comparable period.

However, YTD export sales recorded a decline of 21% at 13,43,604 units for the period, as compared to 17,02,639 units in the previous period from April-Nov.

On an item basis, domestic Commercial vehicle sales of the company surged significantly by 112% at 29,226 units in November this year, as compared to 13,802 in the same month previous year. However, the export of commercial vehicles slipped by nearly 44%.

Following this development, Bajaj Auto was trading at Rs3,700.85 per piece, down by 1.32% from its previous closing of Rs3,750.30 on the BSE. The scrip touched intraday high and low of Rs3,749.95 and Rs3,595.50 respectively.
