Bannari Amman and Shiva Mills closes registered offices from today due to Covid-19 spread; Stocks gain

The decision has been taken by the company in compliance of the May 8, 2021 directive issued by the Government of Tamil Nadu.

Textile companies Bannari Amman Spinning Mills Limited, Shiva Mills Limited, and Shiva Texyarn Limited  have decided to close their Registered Offices from May 10, 2021, in compliance with the May 8, 2021 directive issued by the Government of Tamil Nadu.

“In view of the Covid-19 pandemic and in line with various directives being issued by the Government of Tamil Nadu, the company has been taking measures to ensure safety and health of all its stakeholders including employees.

We are taking necessary arrangements to work from home in the possible means and ways,” companies said in separate regulatory filings on Saturday.

Ata round 10.03 am, Bannari Amman Spinning Mills stock was tarding at Rs74.35 per piece, up Rs3.00 or 4.20% on the BSE. Shiva Mills was trading at Rs48.55 per piece up Rs0.55 or 1.15% on the BSE. Shiva Texyarn was under pressure at Rs157.60 per piece down Rs2.40 or 1.50% on the BSE.
