Shares of
ITC rose 2% after the company undertook a price hike of 7% to 14% in select brands, namely, Bristol, Flake Excel, and Capstan, as per the media sources. These brands together contribute 10-13% to the total sales of ITC.
Godrej Industries,
Jubilant Food, and
Colgate gained over 3-2% in today’s session, followed by ITC,
Godrej Consumer,
UBL, and
Tata Global which were up over 1.5% each.
On the flip side,
Nestle,
HUL,
Dabur, and
KRBL were trading in the negative zone.
Meanwhile, the
Sensex is trading higher by 168 at 36,611, and the
Nifty is up by 55 points at 11,042 levels.
