BSE Healthcare Index rises 2% led by Sun Pharma, Dr.Reddy's

Sun Pharmaceuticals, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Cipla, Apollo Hospitals, Lupin and Divi’s Laboratories contributed to the gains.

BSE Healthcare Index was trading in green, up by 1.9% at 14,036 level on BSE. The major benchmark indices Sensex was trading up by 170 points at 33,530 level and Nifty was trading up by 50 points at 10,349 level.

Sun Pharmaceuticals, Dr.Reddy’s Laboratories, Cipla, Apollo Hospitals, Lupin and Divi’s Laboratories contributed to the gains. 

Sun Pharma was the top gainer in the Index, trading up  by over 3.5% at Rs 536 per share.

Shares of Dr.Reddy’s Lab gained 3% after the company said it got an Establishment Inspection Report (EIR) from USFDA for its Duvvada plant.

Shares of Cipla rose over 2.5% today after brokerage firm said that it expects the company's US operations to witness decent momentum in coming years.

Sun Pharmaceuticals Industries Ltd is currently trading at Rs 535.7, up by Rs 19.25 or 3.73% from its previous closing of Rs 516.45 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs 517 and has touched a high and low of Rs 537.95 and Rs 515.05 respectively.

Cipla Ltd is currently trading at Rs 618.55, up by Rs 15.95 or 2.65% from its previous closing of Rs 602.6 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs 607 and has touched a high and low of Rs 623.75 and Rs 607 respectively.

Vivimed Labs Ltd is currently trading at Rs 123.8, up by Rs 8.2 or 7.09% from its previous closing of Rs 115.6 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs 115.6 and has touched a high and low of Rs 125 and Rs 115 respectively.

Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd is currently trading at Rs 1117, up by Rs 58.65 or 5.54% from its previous closing of Rs 1058.35 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs 1064.3 and has touched a high and low of Rs 1119.5 and Rs 1058.8 respectively.
