Education stocks including Navneet Education gained 0.15% at Rs 164.40 per share, Career Point gained 7.07% at Rs 131.05 per share, Tree House Education & Accessories gained 0.20% at Rs 15.05 per share, MT Educare gained 2.91% at Rs 67.25 per share and Virtual Global Education gained 3.23% at Rs 1.60 per share.
On yearly basis, Navneet Education and Career Point have given 58.99% and 23.11% returns, respectively, whereas Tree House Education & Accessories has lost 53.86%, MT Educare has lost 51.09%, while Virtual Global Education has lost 66.60% returns.
Meanwhile, BSE Sensex gained 69 points at 31,771 level and Nifty gained 21 points at 9,934 level at 1153 hours. There were 1,152 advances, 422 declines and 384 unchanged stocks on NSE, reflecting strong positive sentiments floating in the market.
Broader market indices were also gaining in trade wherein BSE Midcap index gained 54 points at 15,635 levels and BSE Small cap index gained 135 points at 16,165 levels at 1204 hours.
