Eon Electric surges by 5%; secures a contract worth Rs 40 crore for installing LED streetlights in Rajasthan

The company has secured a contract worth Rs 40 crore for installing LED streetlights in Rajasthan. Under this project, Eon will install over 1 lakh LED streetlights across various cities in the state.

Eon Electric is currently trading at Rs. 53.8, up by Rs. 2.55 or 4.98% from its previous closing of Rs. 51.25 on the BSE. The company has secured a contract worth Rs 40 crore for installing LED streetlights in Rajasthan. Under this project, Eon will install over 1 lakh LED streetlights across various cities in the state.

The scrip opened at Rs. 53.8 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 53.8 and Rs. 53.8 respectively. So far 10172(NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 82.31 crore.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 91.55 on 28-Dec-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 31.25 on 26-Mar-2015. Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 51.5 and Rs. 44.25 respectively.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 59.74 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 0 % and 40.26 % respectively.

The stock is currently trading above its 50 DMA.
