Key European indices were trading on a mixed note on October 24 as investors were cautious ahead of European Central Bank's meeting scheduled to be held on Thursday.
At around 2:20 PM IST, CAC 40 traded at 5392, while FTSE 100 was at 7516 and DAX at 13012. The pan-European Stoxx 600 edged 0.1% lower shortly after the opening bell with almost all sectors and major bourses in negative territory.
The central bank is expected to spell out details of its plan for tapering the quantitative easing program that is set to continue till December. Shares were also subdued as uncertainty persists about the crisis in Catalonia.
Among stocks, shares of Apple supplier AMS jumped 20% after the company reported robust Jul-Sep earnings.
