The foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were net sellers in the cash markets with net cash outflow of Rs 1,306.76 Cr on Tuesday

The foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were net sellers in the cash markets with net cash outflow of Rs 1,306.76 Cr.

The domestic institutional investors, on the other hand, were net buyers with a cash inflow of Rs 592.28 Cr.

Major benchmark indices, Nifty closed higher by 22 points or 0.22% at 10,207 level, while Sensex rose by 100 points or 0.31% at 32,607 level.
 
There were 963 advances, 761 declines and 77 unchanged stocks on NSE indicating positive breadth floating in the market.

India VIX ended lower by 5.96% at 11.59 level.
