FMCG index gains 1%; ITC, HUL stocks leads

ITC and HUL were the major contributors in today’s trade. Among other stocks, Britannia, Colgate, and Nestle were among gainers.

The BSE FMCG index gained during Friday’s intraday trade. The index was trading at 11,354, up 112 points or 1%. The breadth within the Consumer Durables index is positive with 46 shares advancing and 35 shares declining.

ITC and HUL were the major contributors in today’s trade. Among other stocks, Britannia, Colgate and Nestle were among gainers. 

On the flip side, Jyothy Lab, Marico, Radico and Parag Milk were trading in the negative zone.

ITC Ltd is currently trading at Rs283 up by Rs4 or 1.43% from its previous closing of Rs279 on the BSE.

Hindustan Unilever Ltd is currently trading at Rs1,588.35 up by Rs19.1 or 1.22% from its previous closing of Rs1,569.25 on the BSE.

Britannia Industries Ltd is currently trading at Rs5,568.90 up by Rs100.25 or 1.83% from its previous closing of Rs5,468.65 on the BSE.

Parag Milk Foods Ltd is currently trading at Rs348.05 down by Rs24.35 or 6.54% from its previous closing of Rs372.40 on the BSE.

Marico Ltd is currently trading at Rs317.75 down by Rs3.35 or 1.04% from its previous closing of Rs321.10 on the BSE.

Jyothy Laboratories Ltd is currently trading at Rs440 down by Rs30 or 6.38% from its previous closing of Rs470 on the BSE.
