GE Power wins contract worth MYR595mn

The consortium of GE Power India Limited (the “Company”), GE Hydro France, GE Renewable Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., and Sinohydro Corporation (M) Sdn. Bhd. has been awarded a project worth MYR595mn. 

The scope of the project pertains to the main electrical and mechanical works for the 1,285MW Baleh Hydroelectric Project in Sarawak, Malaysia by SEB Power Sdn. Bhd.

The value of the order is ~$98.4mn exclusive of taxes (i.e., ~Rs698cr).

GE Power India Limited shall be the leader of the consortium and will be responsible for the design, manufacture, and supply of the main electro-mechanical equipment involving five 257MW Francis turbines as well as part of the balance of plant equipment for the Baleh Hydroelectric Project.

GE Power India Ltd is currently trading at Rs834 up by Rs11.85 or 1.44% from its previous closing of Rs822.15 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs829.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs848 and Rs829.95 respectively. So far 4,813 (NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter.
