In the latest report by Cushman & Wakefield, global real estate consultancy reveals that two prime markets in India, Delhi – NCR and Mumbai are expected to see an addition of 6798 rooms by the end of 2015.
 
This was a part of the recently released report ‘Hotel Views’ on end-year updates and forecast on the hotel markets across Asia and Australia covering over 18 gateway cities and prime destinations. New Year holiday season to see 30% rise this year on last comparable period: ASSOCHAM
Upcoming holiday season is expected to witness about 30 per cent increase in the tourism activity comprising domestic tourists, outbound holidayers and inbound foreign visitors despite a sharp increase in the fares by airlines, according to an ASSOCHAM latest assessment.

Zomato acquires Cibando
Online restaurant search firm Zomato has acquired Italy’s restaurant search service Cibando, according to reports. Report said that the terms of the deal is not disclosed.
The acquisition is expected to be completed over the next week, Zomato reportedly said.
 
Cibando has 82,000 restaurants listed across various cities in Italy and has now a 10-member team.

Las Vegas breaks tourism record with more than 40 million visitors
Las Vegas reached a historic milestone, exceeding 40 million visitors for the first time.  The tourism industry in Southern Nevada continues to expand, achieving ten consecutive months of visitor volume increases, with many of those months being the best on record.
