A comprehensive ceasefire agreement has been reached between Israel and Gaza, according to a media report.
The ceasefire is due to take effect on Friday at 06:00 local time (04:00 GMT).
Mortar shells were fired at Israel during a five-hour cease-fire on Thursday, the report said.
The latest salvo in the 10-day conflict between Hamas and Israel has left 227 dead, the report added.
The sides were slated to participate in the cease-fire from 10 a.m. local time (3 a.m. ET) until 3 p.m. (8 a.m. ET). But after about two hours of temporary calm, sirens sounded in southern Israel, followed by at least three mortar shells from Gaza, Israeli authorities said.
The cease-fire was planned for humanitarian purposes.
