Jim O'Neill, former chairman, Goldman Sachs Asset Management, said that he was not surprised by Moody's ratings outlook upgrade, according to a media report.

He said that it's been a fantastic year for India and it will be difficult for the government to continuously surprise markets.

Jim further added that rupee's stability has been predictable and rating agencies tend to follow what the markets have already priced in.

Moody’s in the second week of April raised India’s credit rating outlook to ‘positive’ from stable, while retaining its lowest investment grade rating (Baa3) for the nation.
