on Wednesday said its crude steel output declined 13% to 12.53 lakh tonne in the quarter ended August 2019. The company had produced 14.48 lakh tonnes during the corresponding period a year ago, JSW Steel said in a BSE filing.
The production was lower due to planned shutdown at Vijayanagar works and severe monsoon impact at Dolvi works.
The output of long-rolled products was at 2.91, down 5% and that of rolled products also fell by 13% at 8.51% for August 2019, the company said.
JSW Steel Ltd is currently trading at Rs226.80, up by Rs7.15 or 3.26% from its previous closing of Rs219.65 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs220 and has touched a high and low of Rs228.65 and Rs220 respectively.
