Jute shares rally; Cheviot Co up 2.6%

The government raised the minimum support price (MSP) of raw jute by 18.5% to Rs.3,200 per quintal for 2016-17 in order to boost production.

Shares of jute products manufacturers are rallying higher on the bourse after the government raised the minimum support price (MSP) of raw jute by 18.5% to Rs.3,200 per quintal for 2016-17 in order to boost production. 

Gloster Ltd is currently trading at Rs. 380, up by Rs. 5.7 or 1.52% from its previous closing of Rs. 374.3 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 432 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 432 and Rs. 341.5 respectively. So far 504(NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 195.76 crore.

Cheviot Company Ltd is currently trading at Rs. 570, up by Rs. 14.5 or 2.61% from its previous closing of Rs. 555.5 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 546 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 573 and Rs. 545 respectively. So far 954(NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 250.53 crore.
