L&T’s construction arm wins orders worth Rs3,000cr

L&T, in a BSE filing on Friday, clarified that its construction arm has won orders to build office-buildings in Andhra and a tourism-related facility in Oman.

L&T, in a BSE filing on Friday, clarified that its construction arm has won orders worth Rs3,000cr to build office-buildings in Andhra and a tourism-related facility in Oman.

The Indian multi-national said that it has received one award from the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) for the engineering, procurement, and construction of office buildings at Amaravati. This is also a fast-track job that has to be completed within a stringent deadline.

This will be the first steel diagrid project in India and will be constructed in combination with the Automatic Climbing Formwork System (ACFS). Further, this will also be the tallest government office building in India post construction. 

Another order for a tourism-related facility in Muscat, Oman, includes working on its structure, architectural finishes, MEP services, extensive landscaping, and external development.

L&T is engaged in technology, engineering, construction, manufacturing, and financial services with a revenue of over $18bn. It operates in over 30 countries worldwide.

Larsen & Toubro share price is currently at Rs1,294, down Rs5.75, or 0.44%, from its previous close of Rs1,299.75 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs1,305.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs1,319 and Rs1,288, respectively. So far, 18,38,144 (NSE+BSE) shares have been traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs1,82,189.54cr.
