Nifty Auto Index dropped 1% on Tuesday amid heavy selling in TVS Motor, Eicher Motors

Shares of TVS Motors, which dropped 3%, led the index’s fall. Shares of Eicher Motors and Hero MotoCorp also contributed to the fall, declining 2% each. Shares of Ashok Layland, Maruti
, Bajaj Auto
, and Amara Raja Batteries
also fell 1% each.
Further, shares of Tata Motors
were trading on a flat note after the company clarified on news report
captioned that "JLR recalls 44,000 cars in the UK". In this regard, Jagaur Land Rover Automotive Plc, wholly owned subsidiary (JLR) have addressed the media query.
Meanwhile, equity benchmark indices were trading in the green with the Sensex gaining 59 points at 38,153 levels. The Nifty gained 13 points at 11,475 levels.
