Nifty FMCG gains 1.3%; Colgate surges 4.5%

Marico, Jubilant Food, Godrej Industries, and Emami shares were also trading higher in the range of 4-3%.

The Nifty FMCG index was trading higher in afternoon session on Tuesday with shares of Colgate up 4.5%. Shares of Marico, Jubilant Food, Godrej Industries, and Emami were also trading higher in the range of 4-3%, respectively, followed by ITC and Tata Global, which were up ~2.5% each.

On the flip side, United Spirits was trading in the negative territory.

The top gainers among the Nifty constituents were Yes Bank, Sun Pharma, Asian Paints, UltechTech Cement, and Zee. The top losers included HPCL, IOC, Bharti Airtel, HDFC Bank, and ICICI Bank.

Meanwhile, Nifty Pharma was also up over 2% led by Sun Pharma, up 5%, followed by Glenmark, Cadila Healthcare, Lupin, Piramal Enterprises, and Cipla.

Colgate-Palmolive (India) Ltd share price is currently at Rs1,248.85, up Rs46.85, or 3.9%, from its previous close of Rs1,202 on the BSE.

Marico Ltd share price is currently at Rs359.65, up Rs13.55, or 3.92%, from its previous close of Rs346.10 on the BSE.

Jubilant Foodworks Ltd share price is currently at Rs1,242.50, up Rs42.5, or 3.54%, from its previous close of Rs1,200 on the BSE.

ITC Ltd share price is currently at Rs275, up Rs5.3, or 1.97%, from its previous close of Rs269.70 on the BSE.

Emami Ltd share price is currently at Rs412.20, up Rs6.4, or 1.58%, from its previous close of Rs405.80 on the BSE.

Britannia Industries Ltd share price is currently at Rs2,997.35, up Rs16, or 0.54%, from its previous close of Rs2,981.35 on the BSE.
