Power Grid arm announces transmission system project Vindhyachal-V

The project includes establishment of Vindhyachal pooling station - Jabalpur pooling station 765kV double circuit transmission line on a build, own, operate and maintain (BOOM) basis.

PowerGrid Jabalpur Transmission Limited, a 100% wholly owned subsidiary of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited,  has successfully commissioned transmission system strengthening associated with Vindhyachal-V.

The company made the announcement on Tuesday evening, post market hours.

The project includes establishment of Vindhyachal pooling station - Jabalpur pooling station 765kV double circuit transmission line on a build, own, operate and maintain (BOOM) basis.

The transmission system has been put into commercial operation with effect 1st January 2019.

Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL), a PSU power transmission company, is likely to benefit from healthy capitalisation of ~Rs27,000cr per annum (over FY18-20E) leading to revenue CAGR of 12.3% over the same period. This revenue growth is likely to lead to PAT CAGR of 18.6% over FY18-20E with an EBITDA margin of 88.3% in FY20E.

Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd is currently trading at Rs197.90 down by Rs2 or 1% from its previous closing of Rs199.90 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs199 and has touched a high and low of Rs199.30 and Rs197.50 respectively. So far 5,91,187 (NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter.
