Price Waterhouse resigns as statutory auditors of IDFC

At the company’s AGM, shareholders approve the appointment of Khimji Kunverji & Co LLP as statutory auditors.

IDFC Limited informed the exchanges Thursday that Price Waterhouse & Co Chartered Accountants LLP have resigned as the Statutory Auditors of IDFC with effect from September 22, 2021.

“Price Waterhouse, the existing auditors have already completed three years and hence are not eligible to be appointed as auditors for FY22 onwards,” the company said in a filing on Thursday. 

Khimji Kunverji & Co LLP, Chartered Accountants has been appointed as the Statutory Auditors of IDFC Limited on September 22, 2021.

“At the AGM of the Company held on September 22, 2021, the Shareholders had approved the appointment of M/s. Khimji Kunverji & Co LLP, Chartered Accountants (FRN 105146W/W‐ 100621), as Statutory Auditors for a period of 3 years.
“Khimji Kunverji Co LLP is a Chartered Accountant firm registered with The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (“ICAI”). The firm was established in 1936 and is led by 10 partners. The firm provides a range of services which include audit & assurance, taxation, advisory & accounting. The firm has significant presence in providing auditing, taxation & advisory services to banks and other financial clients,” company added.

IDFC Ltd ended at Rs55.35 per piece down by Rs0.3 or 0.54% from its previous closing of Rs55.65 per piece on the BSE.
