Shares of Star Cement
jumped 12% on the BSE after the company’s board is set to consider share buyback proposal on June 21.
The Board of Directors of the Company is scheduled on June 21, 2019, inter alia, to consider and approve a proposal for buyback of the Company's Equity Shares, the constitution of Buy- Back Committee and appointment of Intermediaries in accordance with applicable provisions of laws, the company said in the filing.
Star Cement Ltd is currently trading at Rs129.45, up by Rs12.6 or 10.78% from its previous closing of Rs116.85 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs117.05 and has touched a high and low of Rs131.90 and Rs115.10 respectively.
The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs1 has touched a 52-week high of Rs137.60 on 06-Jun-2019 and a 52-week low of Rs85 on 13-Feb-2019. Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs127.50 and Rs116.60 respectively.
