Shares of Sterlite Technologies were trading 1% up at Rs. 83.50 on BSE today. On Thursday, the company announced investment of Rs. 40,000 crore to set up a LCD panel manufacturing plant in the country.
The company has clarified that this proposed investment of Rs. 40,000 crore for panel manufacturing would not be undertaken by Sterlite Technologies. It added further it will be through seperate entity as part of this new initiative by the group.
The stock has hit a high of Rs. 84.75 and a low of Rs. 83.40 on BSE today. Total traded quantity on the counter stood at over 3.11 lk shares on BSE.
Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex is up 60 points at 28,081.
