Tata Motors down 2% after global sales in May drops

Global wholesales of all passenger vehicles in May 2019 were at 50,884 units, lower by 23%, compared to May 2018.

Shares of Tata Motors were trading 2% down on Thursday after the company’s global wholesales in May 2019, including Jaguar Land Rover declined to 82,374 units, which is lower by 23% over May 2018.

Global wholesales of all Tata Motors' commercial vehicles and Tata Daewoo range in May 2019 were at 31,490 units, lower by 23%, over May 2018, the company said in a press note released after markets hours to the exchanges on Wednesday.

Global wholesales of all passenger vehicles in May 2019 were at 50,884 units, lower by 23%, compared to May 2018.

Tata Motors Ltd's share price is currently at Rs165.70, down by Rs3.3 or 1.95%, from its previous close of Rs169 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs166 and has touched a high and low of Rs168.80 and Rs165.60 respectively. So far, 65,49,078 (NSE+BSE) shares have been traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs53,024.39cr.
