The venture arm of Flipkart will fund six startups

19 Aug 2022 , 10:24 AM

The e-commerce company's $100 million venture capital arm, Flipkart Ventures, announced that it will invest in six businesses as part of its accelerator program, Flipkart Leap Ahead.
.
These startups include Dopplr, an organization focused on the metaverse; Livwell, an insurtech company; LogisticsNow; and NeuroPixel. Rightbot Technologies is an AI-based robotic fulfillment firm, and Sellerapp is an e-commerce seller-enablement company.
.
The chosen firms will also benefit from a mentorship program created by Bain & Company and an equity investment from Flipkart of up to $500,000.
.
According to the company, entrepreneurs participating in the mentorship program will have meetings with executives from Flipkart in the areas of business, products, technology, and finance. The startups will pitch their concepts to potential investors at the end of the program.
Following a selection procedure that included numerous rounds of examination by executives from Flipkart and Flipkart Ventures, the startups were chosen.
.
According to Ravi Iyer, Senior Vice-President and Head of Corporate Development at Flipkart, "Through this endeavor, we want to be a catalyst in the developing startup community by continuing to extend our program each year and giving growth opportunities to new entrepreneurs."
