The monsoon in India will be normal this year amid forecasts for the emergence of an El Niño that previously caused droughts, government officials said.

The Government of India has authorised the Reserve Bank of India to issue debt instruments up to a ceiling of Rs500bn under the market stabilisation scheme for the fiscal 2014-15. (BL)
