The Government aims to award almost three-times more road projects this fiscal as against the last fiscal.

The Centre is considering ploughing funds collected through the innovation cess towards research, in collaboration with industry, in three critical areas: biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and automotives.(BL)

The Government aims to award almost three-times more road projects this fiscal as against the last fiscal. On an average, it proposes to award over 23 km projects daily (against 8.6 km).It also aims to complete construction of over 17 km road a day (against 11.67 km).(BL)

The government is working on developing a bankruptcy framework to offer easier exit routes to sick companies while helping revive those with viable options, said Kalraj Mishra, the new minister for micro small & medium enterprises (MSMEs).)(ET)

The government proposes to set up a Telecom Finance Corporation (TFC) in the 12th Five Year Plan period (2012-17) which will be registered as a non-banking and non-deposit infrastructure finance company. (ET)
