Transport Corp rises after incorporating subsidiary in Nepal

Transport Corporation of India (TCI) rose 1.4% to Rs 328.60 at 13:18 IST on BSE after the company incorporated a wholly owned subsidiary, TCI Nepal on 2 June 2017 in Nepal. The announcement was made on Saturday, 3 June 2017.

The stock hit its 52-week high of Rs 334.50 per share on the NSE. Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 25.39 points or 0.08% at 31,298.68. The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 81.71 points or 0.53% at 15,392.88.
 
The stock has delivered 9% returns in a period of one year and has underperformed the BSE Small cap and Nifty Service Sector indices over the same time span.
 
Transport Corporation of India Limited (TCI) is an integrated supply chain and logistics solutions, provider. The company's segments include freight division, supply chain solutions division, seaways division, energy division and global division.

Transport Corporation of India Ltd is currently trading at Rs 328.9, up by Rs 4.85 or 1.5% from its previous closing of Rs 324.05 on the BSE.
 
The scrip opened at Rs 329 and has touched a high and low of Rs 334.5 and Rs 325.7 respectively. So far 116379(NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs 2481.49 crore.
 
The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 330.25 on 02-Jun-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs 144 on 28-Dec-2016. Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 330.25 and Rs 247 respectively.
 
The promoters holding in the company stood at 66.08 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 10.84 % and 23.08 % respectively.
 
The stock is currently trading above its 50 DMA.
