Wipro will assist McLaren with achieving it defined IT strategy, focusing on providing next-generation differentiated IT services to its business divisions with an emphasis on agility and improved reliability. As part of this multi-year partnership, Wipro will leverage the Wipro HOLMES artificial intelligence platform and its next-generation managed services framework to offer flexibility and boost the productivity of McLaren’s fast growing automotive and high-tech businesses.
On Wednesday, the company also informed that it has joined Hyperledger to design and develop open source-based blockchain solutions for enterprise grade blockchain deployments.
Meanwhile, the stock was trading down by 3.51% at Rs 285 per share on BSE at 0918 hours. It opened at Rs 281.60 per share.
Shares of Wipro are expected to witness ex-date for its buyback offer on Thursday. Earlier, the company has approved the proposal to buyback up to 34,37,50,000 fully paid-up equity shares of the company of face value of Rs 2 each at a price of Rs 320 per equity share on a proportionate basis through the tender offer process.
