Ashok Leyland Unveils 18.5 Tonne CNG Truck with Enhanced Efficiency

29 Aug 2023 , 11:59 AM

Ashok Leyland Ltd. (ALL), a leading commercial vehicle manufacturer, has introduced the 1922 4X2 CNG truck in the 18.5-tonne segment. This new addition offers a variety of loading span options, making it versatile for different industry requirements.

The unveiled haulage truck stands out for its exceptional performance attributes, including industry-best fluid efficiency, power, and range (single fill) in its segment. This development addresses the growing demand for CNG variants in diverse applications such as e-commerce, parcel loads, auto parts, and FMCG.

Sanjeev Kumar, President-MHCV at Ashok Leyland, highlighted the evolving industry trend towards CNG vehicles, particularly in e-commerce and auto parts. This new range of CNG trucks is poised to bolster Ashok Leyland's presence and competitiveness in the expanding CNG market.

In a separate achievement, Ashok Leyland marked the successful completion of its 'Manzil ka Safar' journey, covering over 4,000 km. This journey began on July 26 from Kanyakumari and concluded at Leh as part of the Stallion Truck drive. This initiative was undertaken to commemorate the Kargil Vijay Diwas and to celebrate Ashok Leyland's 75th anniversary.
