Axis Bank falls 5%; top Nifty loser

The scrip opened at Rs. 595 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 595.5 and Rs. 560 respectively.

Axis Bank Ltd is currently trading at Rs. 560.8, down by Rs. 31.15 or 5.26% from its previous closing of Rs. 591.95 on the BSE. The stock, which is down for a second straight session, is the worst performer on Sensex, Nifty and the Nifty Bank indices.

The scrip opened at Rs. 595 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 595.5 and Rs. 560 respectively. So far 27441749 (NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 141453.05 crore.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 638 on 07-Sep-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 366.65 on 18-Jan-2016. Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 612.2 and Rs. 589.15 respectively.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 29.71 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 57.25 % and 9.47 % respectively.

The stock is currently trading below its 50 DMA.
