Bajaj Electricals Q4FY22 PAT down -27.93% at Rs39.35 crore on 24.5% fall in FMEG operating profits

Bajaj Electricals reported 6.03% increase in revenues yoy for the Q4FY22 quarter on consolidated basis at Rs1,334.32 crore. On a sequential basis, revenues were higher for the quarter by 1.10%.

Full year FY22 revenues were up 3.98% at Rs4,728 crore. Bajaj Electricals focuses on the fast moving electrical goods (FMEG) segment with a smaller exposure to the EPC segment.

The FMEG vertical saw revenues grow by 6.46% at Rs1,038 crore while the revenues of the EPC business grew by 4.95% at Rs297 crore.

Net cash from operations for the full year FY22 were up 39% at Rs914 crore on sharp lower inventory investments.

The consolidated net profit for Q4FY22 was lower by -27.93% at Rs39.35 crore while it was down on sequential basis by -18.38%.

For Q4FY22, Among the verticals, the EBIT from the predominant FMEG business was down -24.5% at Rs63.83 crore while the profits from the much smaller EPC business turned around from operating loss to operating profit.

Net margins were 2.95% in Q4FY22 quarter compared to 4.34% in Q4FY21. NPM was lower compared to 3.65% in Q3FY22. Dividend of Rs3 per share has been declared by the board.
