Bharti Airtel Q4FY22 PAT up 164.5% at Rs2,008 crore on EBIT boost from India and Africa business

Bharti Airtel Ltd reported 22.34% growth in sales revenues yoy for the Q4FY22 quarter on consolidated basis at Rs31,500 crore. On a sequential basis, revenues were higher for the quarter by 6.54%.

For full year FY22, the revenues were higher by 15.6% at Rs117,081 crore. For Q4FY22, Bharti Airtel reported sold growth across India and Africa telecom services as well as the Airtel Business and Home services.

This also led to a sharp improvement in the net cash flows from operating businesses. Even for FY22, India and Africa telecom were major drivers of sales growth.

The consolidated net profit for Q4FY22 was sharply higher by 164.46% at Rs2,008 crore while it was up on a sequential basis by 142%.

For Q4FY22, the company saw sharp growth in EBIT from the India and Africa telecom businesses.

Also, the numbers may not be strictly comparable due to an exceptional gain of Rs906 crore on account of gain on sale of telecom assets and one-time settlement with strategic vendor.

Net margins were 6.37% in Q4FY22 quarter compared to 2.95% in Q4FY21. NPM was higher as compared to 2.81% in Q3FY22.
