Elgi Equipments Q4FY22 PAT up 68.5% at Rs73.06 crore on the back of inventory efficiency gains

Elgi Equipments Ltd reported 19.17% growth in sales revenues yoy for the Q4FY22 quarter on consolidated basis at Rs727.61 crore. On a sequential basis, revenues were higher for the quarter by 10.98%.

For full year FY22, the revenues were higher by 31.2% at Rs2,525 crore. For Q4FY22, the sales revenues from the principal air compressors business grew by 19.3% at Rs668 crore while the automotive equipment sales grew 22% at Rs61 crore.

The board has recommended a dividend of Rs.1.15 per share subject to shareholder approval.

The consolidated net profit for Q4FY22 was up 68.5% at Rs73.06 crore while it was up on a sequential basis by 75.08%.

The growth in profits were largely on the back of inventory efficiency gains in the quarter. In terms of verticals, the air compressor business EBIT grew 62% at Rs91 crore while the EBIT of the automotive business grew by 33% on a comparable yoy basis in the fourth quarter.

Net margins were 10.04% in Q4FY22 quarter compared to 7.10% in Q4FY21. NPM was higher as compared to 6.36% in Q3FY22.
