US equity funds estimates inflows of $1.3bn in latest week: ICI

Domestic equity funds had estimated outflows of $608 million, while estimated inflows to world equity funds were $1.91 billion

Total estimated inflows to US long-term mutual funds were $8.42 billion for the week ended Wednesday, April 24, 2013, the Investment Company Institute said.

Flow estimates are derived from data collected covering more than 95% of industry assets and are adjusted to represent industry totals.

Equity funds had estimated inflows of $1.3 billion for the week ended April 24, 2013, compared to estimated inflows of $2.62 billion in the previous week. Domestic equity funds had estimated outflows of $608 million, while estimated inflows to world equity funds were $1.91 billion.

Hybrid funds, which can invest in stocks and fixed income securities, had estimated inflows of $1.36 billion for the week, compared to estimated inflows of $1.31 billion in the previous week.

Bond funds had estimated inflows of $5.76 billion, compared to estimated inflows of $1.51 billion during the previous week. Taxable bond funds saw estimated inflows of $5.63 billion, while municipal bond funds had estimated inflows of $133 million.
