The post-poll era of Uttar Pradesh is populated with news on cow politics and Romeo squads, but India Inc., is making a beeline in the State as the new government is all set to revamp the infrastructure of the State by investing heavily in roads and power sector, informed an observer, while speaking to a leading English daily.
The business entities are expecting that the new government will follow in the footsteps of the previous government, and they will push the projects which are still in nascency. Companies like L&T have been actively working in the State of Uttar Pradesh, and aptly handled multiple projects to empower the infrastructure of the State. Most of the observers believe that the momentum of the development of the roads and power will continue under the new regime. As per the report published by a leading market research company, UP and Karnataka have witnessed the highest number of projects this year; and states like Bihar and Andhra Pradesh have also seen a healthy flow of projects this year. NHAI is also expecting some steady development in the State of UP as the new government is trying hard to expedite the process of land acquisition and forest clearance.
