Markets trade lower amid volatility; Sensex falls 100 pts while Nifty around 18,400

Domestic benchmark indices trading mixed after a gap-up opening on Monday. Both the Sensex and Nifty benchmarks are trading lower in the afternoon market session.
On the sectoral front, FMCG index underperformed by tumbling over 1.2% followed by media and pharma stocks plunging however IT and metal stock were trading higher by 1% each to drive the market sentiments. 
At around 2:00 PM, Sensex was trading at 61,665.84 lower by 129.2 points or 0.21%. Nifty 50 traded at 18,335.35 lower 14.35 points or 0.08%
Top Bulls on Nifty 50 are: Hindalco (+4.9%), Tata Motors (+2.7%), Grasim (+2.4%) supported by Apollo Hospitals (+2.1%) and Kotak Bank (+1.3%). Meanwhile, top losers on Nifty are: Dr Reddy (-3.7%), Coal India (-2.2%), ITC (-2.1%), Hindustan Unilever (-1.7%) and ICICI Bank (-1.5%).
Moreover, India's inflation based on the Wholesale Price Index (WPI) crashed to a 19-month low of 8.39% in October month, as per the data released by the commerce ministry showed today.
Meanwhile, the government will also release the closely watched CPI inflation data for October later today.
