Nifty below 9,150-mark; Reliance, HUL among most active stocks

Equity benchmark indices opened lower tracking weakness in Asian markets. Nestle, Sun Pharma and ITC were slightly up on the Sensex pack. Out of 30 shares in the Sensex, 27 were in the red.

Nestle, Havells, and Bandhan Bank are scheduled to announce their March quarter results today.

The BSE Sensex was down 374.19 points or 1.19% to trade at 31,196.58 while the Nifty50 index was lower by 103 points or 1.11% at 9,136. About 473 shares have advanced, 1,050 shares declined, and 555 shares are unchanged.

Biocon Biologics India Ltd., a subsidiary of Biocon has received the certificate of GMP compliance from EMA represented by the competent authority of Germany for its Biologics Drug Substance (DS), facilities at Hosur Road, Bengaluru. Reacting to this news shares is slightly down on the BSE.

The most active stocks on NSE are Reliance, HUL, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank and Asian Paints.
