TCS expands footprint in Minnesota; to create more hi-tech jobs and accelerate STEM outreach

Tata Consultancy Services Limited has informed of its plans to continue expanding its footprint in Minnesota by advancing its hiring program in the coming year and accelerating its STEM outreach efforts in local schools in order to cover 50% more students and teachers.

Bloomington, Minnesota is among one of the 30 TCS facilities in the U.S. and supports leading enterprises in Minnesota. Further, including Ameriprise Financial and Best Buy.

TCS currently employs more than 1,000 employees in the state — including 400 employees hired within the last five years — helping companies along their growth and transformation journeys through consulting services, industry experience, advanced technology, and intellectual property.

“TCS is focused on increasing its presence in Minnesota and searching for talent in the North Star State to enable local businesses with innovative solutions to their biggest challenges,” said Suresh Muthuswami, Chairman of North America, TCS.

He further stated, “We also look forward to fostering the next generation of tech talent in Minnesota schools. That goal is driving our commitment to grow our STEM education initiatives by 50% in the coming years.”

Broadening the scope of STEM and computer science education in schools across the U.S. is on the top list of TCS as one of the world’s largest technology consulting companies.

At around 10.28 AM, TCS was trading at Rs3,222 up by Rs1.85 or 0.06% from its previous closing of Rs3,220.15 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs3,198 and has touched intraday high and low of Rs3,225.90 and Rs3,178.90 respectively.
