NewsDistill revolutionises news aggregation space with radius-based news feeds

NewsDistill, a leading news aggregator has introduced a unique feature that allows users to search and get news based on their current location or from the place of their choice. The feature enables user to know happenings from a particular region or district in English or in the local regional language.
 
Launched in 2015, NewsDistill aggregates news sourced from various Indian newspapers, television channels, RSS Feeds, custom feeds and social media in major Indian languages besides English. The news is presented through innovative algorithms through a rich user interface application.

NewsDistill also upgraded its unique personalized NewsPlayer feature, which enables users to listen headlines or entire news in English and Hindi languages. Users can now add news articles of choice to queue and listen to them at convenient time, at the speed from 1x to 4x. The Application now enables users to browse other apps in the phone while the news player is on.
 
To reduce data consumption, users can now select the quality of the images (High or Low or No Image). Also if a user has low bandwidth, then a pop up message appears and if users want to switch to low quality images and vice versa.
 
A fast growing application, NewsDistill now has more than 1800 per cent growth in page views and stands at 55 million page views per month. With 300,000 users, the application is also witnessing 800 per cent growth in daily active users. Statistics indicate that a user on an average goes through 62-67 stories per day and spends approximately 18 to 20 minutes.
 
NewsDistill is co-founded by Narasimha Reddy, an engineering graduate from JNTU who had earlier worked with top notch tech brands such as Yahoo, LinkedIn and Bhaskar Reddy, an aeronautical engineer.

NewsDistill is easy to operate and integrates more than 30 unique features. It is currently available on Andriod and also on web platform. It will be available in iOS in a month.
