Maran to hike 5% stake in SpiceJet: reports

Reports stated that this would be the third fund infusion in the airline by Maran since September 2011.

Media tycoon Kalanithi Maran, the principal promoter is planning to increase his stake by five per cent stake in Spicejet to infuse Rs 1.84bn in the airline, according to reports.

Reports stated that this would be the third fund infusion in the airline by Maran since September 2011.

There were reports that Maran and his wife Kavery Kalanithi had resigned from one of the promoter entities of SpiceJet.

The company has denied a stake sale and was talking to some private equity players.
