FOX Traveller presents an adventurous journey of four friends, including actor and VJ Purab Kohli, in the channel’s latest offering - ‘Life Mein Ek Baar’. Starting from 6th November 2011, every Sunday at 10 PM, the show promises thrill and excitement as the gang of boys gear up to take on adventurous activities, thrilling escapades and some heart warming journeys, causing some serious adrenaline rush and a lot of connection moments with everyone who has been wanting to give the mundane life a break!
Earlier this year in July Purab went on an extensive hunt on Facebook to find the perfect travel companions, with whom he could share a common travel wish list. He zeroed down on an exciting mix of personalities Arun Kolagada- a hot software engineer who teaches capoeira, Jupiter Huidrom - a highly opinionated, witty and funny marketing professional and an easy going film student- Bhaskara Seth. The result - a vibrant group that went on a trip of their lifetime- at least Life Mein Ek Baar!
Says Purab Kohli, “This journey was a crazy, wild adventure for my three friends and I. It’s a story of self-discovery, sheer exploration and venturing into unknown destinations. It has been an exhilarating experience and hope you enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed living it!”
Speaking on the launch of the show, Debarpita Banerjee, VP - Marketing, FOX International Channels says, “At FOX Traveller we have been striving to present locally produced content that has a fresh approach to travel- that would capture and reflect the way young India looks at a journey- that should be packed with unique experiences that involves a bit of a self discovery, rather than just discovering a destination. ‘Life Mein Ek Baar’ is our latest offering that aptly brings out the channel’s philosophy and promise. A story of four friends and their travel escapades – indeed the fun is in the journey! This show would certainly make you want to get out of the mundane, do something interesting, and lap up different kinds of experiences that life has to offer.”
The boys gear up for a biking expedition on the highest motor-able road in India - Kardungla, Leh. They experience the lifestyle of Changpa tribe in Leh. The take a dip in Pangong lake the highest salt water lake in Asia. There is celebration, singing, and bonfire. Need we say more?
The old world of Nepal is calling; the boys visit the world’s highest mountain: The Mighty Mount Everest after which there is no stopping them. They also visit Maity Nepal NGO to learn more about the cause of girl trafficking. Bhote Khosi Bungee Jumping is next, post which they surprise the crowd with an impromptu rock gig!!
Thailand beckons on the boys and the young blood in Thailand proves to be an exciting mix. The boys brave eating insects in Khao San road. They enjoy the spectacular floating market at Taling Chan and get a chance to interact with the locals. They also visit the famous Tiger temple and indulge in scuba diving and surfing!
The boys experience weightlessness through simulated ‘I fly’ experience. They have fun in the desert while Dune bashing. They enjoy sky diving with a free fall of 1 minute from a height of 13000 feet and get treated to a sumptuous meal at the royal and luxurious Al Mahara in Burj Al Arab!
